St Albert Library Ukulele Circle – Sunday March 13th

Our ukulele group met today at St Albert Library to play a selection of songs from the thirties to modern day chart songs. We had a great turn-out, with around thirty players coming out with their instruments!

We have a number of concerts lined up over the next few months…

We’ll be performing at Lifestyle Trade Fair Expo in April, Heritage Lakes street party in May, and Edmonton Ukrainian Village and Fort Edmonton Park in the summer. The group will also be playing a few songs at our student recital concert in June.

The next ukulele circle will be held on Sunday April 24th at the library, and I’m delighted to be leading it… Come on out with your ukuleles, meet new friends and play some fun songs!

World Ukulele Day Concert – February 2nd, West Edmonton Mall

I had the pleasure of leading some songs in a two hour celebration at West Edmonton Mall for World Ukulele Day, with around 100 ukulele players…I made my Global TV debut singing too! I brought a bunch of my ukulele students and friends along, and the St Albert Library Ukulele Club, and we were in esteemed company with Edmonton Ukulele Circle, CKUA Radio Ukulele Orchestra and the wonderful singer/songwriter Beth Portman in attendance! Here are some pictures of the event, for those who missed it…

December 11th -Ukulele group at Chateau Sturgeon Lodge, Legal

My ukulele student group “St Albert Strummers” played their first concert tonight in Legal for Chateau Sturgeon Lodge’s Christmas party…Thank you to Chateau Sturgeon, who gave a very generous donation to our 2015 charity, Polaris 88 Scout Group. Polaris 88 do a great work with children with neurological disorders such as Autism and Aspergers Syndrome. We’re looking forward to visiting them to present the funds we’ve raised for them this year!DSC_2775
