Our ukulele group performed for St Albert Lifestyle Trade Fair Expo today at Servus Place, and I had the opportunity to try out my new ukulele! Thanks to St Albert Library for hosting us…
Our ukulele group will be playing on Saturday from 4pm-6pm at Servus Place for the St Albert Library stall and giving the public the opportunity to try some brand new ukuleles!
There will also be the St Albert Idol competition and lots of local businesses exhibiting their wares throughout the weekend…

We performed at a hospital in Edmonton today, with Bluegrass, Gospel and Ukrainian music on the set. We spent some time with the patients chatting afterwards, and received a donation for the charity of our choice…Thanks for having us! 
Our ukulele group met today at St Albert Library to play a selection of songs from the thirties to modern day chart songs. We had a great turn-out, with around thirty players coming out with their instruments!
We have a number of concerts lined up over the next few months…
We’ll be performing at Lifestyle Trade Fair Expo in April, Heritage Lakes street party in May, and Edmonton Ukrainian Village and Fort Edmonton Park in the summer. The group will also be playing a few songs at our student recital concert in June.
The next ukulele circle will be held on Sunday April 24th at the library, and I’m delighted to be leading it… Come on out with your ukuleles, meet new friends and play some fun songs!
Our events group Alberta Rose had a fine time playing for the Edmonton Icelandic Society Dinner Dance on Saturday…We’re currently booking for December’s Christmas parties!
I had the pleasure of leading some songs in a two hour celebration at West Edmonton Mall for World Ukulele Day, with around 100 ukulele players…I made my Global TV debut singing too! I brought a bunch of my ukulele students and friends along, and the St Albert Library Ukulele Club, and we were in esteemed company with Edmonton Ukulele Circle, CKUA Radio Ukulele Orchestra and the wonderful singer/songwriter Beth Portman in attendance! Thank you to Ironwood Seniors Home for hosting our final Christmas Concert tonight! Thank you for your hospitality and for the generous donation to our 2015 charity, Polaris Scout Troop, for children with neurological disorders…and thank you to all of the students and helpers for putting on a fun concert, and bringing joy to the seniors!

My ukulele student group “St Albert Strummers” played their first concert tonight in Legal for Chateau Sturgeon Lodge’s Christmas party…Thank you to Chateau Sturgeon, who gave a very generous donation to our 2015 charity, Polaris 88 Scout Group. Polaris 88 do a great work with children with neurological disorders such as Autism and Aspergers Syndrome. We’re looking forward to visiting them to present the funds we’ve raised for them this year!
