Upcoming events for the ukulele community

There’s lots happening this year in the ukulele community. Here are a few events you may be interested in…

Saturday September 23rd –
St Albert Cultivates the Arts have invited Kyle and I back to present a ukulele presentation for beginners 8-12 years, beginners 13+, and intermediate players 13+. The presentations will be one hour each, and are free to attend. We have ukuleles for beginners who would like to try the class.

I’ll also be teaching beginner and intermediate classes in September/October with St Albert Further Education. More details to follow on classes and how to register!

Saturday October 14th –
Kyle and I will be presenting a 90 minute ukulele rhythm class for Calgary Online Ukulele Festival. We’re delighted to be taking part in the 2023 festival along with some great teachers and performers…Aaron Keim, Mustafa Kamaliddin, Stu Fuchs, Tina Heber and Dani Joy have all taken part in the festival this year, so they’ll be a tough act to follow!

Saturday 9th December –
The Calgary Ukulele Festival 2023 will round off with teacher performances. Kyle and I are performing a 20 minute set for the event. Sign up for a half-year membership with the festival at www.ukewest.com

Heartland Ukulele Lovers Alberta (HULA) are hosting “Klonduke Daze”, a play-along event with over 100 performers in the Sherwood Park area. Go here for more info on HULA…
